McLaren Applied Technologies teamed up with MTS to create its new Vehicle Dynamics Simulator (VDS), a next-generation driving simulator engineered to provide automakers and Tier 1 suppliers with a means of accelerating and streamlining the development processes of road vehicles. Tim Stafford, automotive director, Guillaume Le Goff, business manager and Adam Staton, simulation engineer at McLaren Applied Technologies explain the key points of the system, which has 40cm of travel – 10 times that of a motorsport simulator.
