Available from Bestech Australia, the new Endevco model 27BLPF accelerometer is Meggitt’s highest temperature, single-axis IEPE accelerometer. It features an integral two-pole low-pass filter and comes in a miniature, lightweight package.
The sensor has a 10 mV/g sensitivity and operates reliably up to +175°C. Two standard options are available; the 27BLPF-10-02 has a 2kHz corner frequency while the 27BLPF-10-10 has a 10kHz corner frequency. Low-pass filtering at 2 or 10kHz enables attenuation of high-frequency, high g signals in order to prevent obscuring low-frequency data of interest. Two-pole filtering provides a steeper roll-off than competitive miniature sensors, which have a single-pole filter.
The adhesively mounted 27BLPF miniature sensor for measuring vibration has a 6.35mm diameter and weighs 0.8g, minimizing mass loading on the test structure. The teardrop-shaped titanium housing is hermetically sealed, has a side-exit M3 connector and comes standard with a 10ft mating cable. Included accessories are petro-wax adhesive for temporary installations, an isolating mounting pad, and a removal tool.
