Nardò Technical Center recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. Since its foundation in 1975, the testing center in Apulia, Italy, has been dedicated to vehicle development requirements. Operated by Porsche Engineering Group since 2012, Nardò is home to more than 20 test tracks and testing facilities.
Malte Radmann, chairman of the executive board of Porsche Engineering Group, said, “The whole range of testing services is available to our customers at the proving ground. In the next few years we have extensive expansion and modernization plans to meet development requirements of the future.”
Wolfgang Hatz, member of the executive board, R&D at Porsche AG, added, “The Nardò Technical Center ideally supplements our testing and research facilities at the Weissach Development Center with the big advantage that we can test our cars in Nardò 365 days a year, thanks to the mild climate. These unique conditions are a valuable resource for efficient vehicle testing for the whole automotive industry.”
