With its latest release, dSPACE has optimized its production code generator, TargetLink, to cover prominent standards in the development of embedded software. TargetLink 4.1 supports the functional mock-up interface (FMI) 2.0 and the latest version of the AUTOSAR standard, AUTOSAR 4.2. MISRA C compliance and code efficiency have also been increased further and modular, model-based development is even easier now.
Exporting TargetLink models as functional mock-up units enables users to easily exchange and combine models from various modeling environments and Simulink versions, while protecting their intellectual property. Based on the FMI 2.0 standard, users can immediately execute TargetLink-generated code on dSPACE platforms such as VEOS and SCALEXIO, and especially on FMI-compatible environments from third parties (offline and real-time simulation).
The support for AUTOSAR 4.2 and the addressed improvements for accessing NVRAM make it easy to access nonvolatile memory from the AUTOSAR software components. TargetLink now supports AUTOSAR transformers, which can be used to implement end-to-end communication protection for safety-critical applications and communication via automotive Ethernet.
