Elemance’s vision is to protect and improve human life by providing virtual human body model (HBM) based tools and expertise to enable truly human centered design. Founded in 2014, Elemance is the exclusive distributor of the GHBMC family of virtual HBMs. The GHBMC models are Finite Element (FE) computational models of the human body designed to replicate its biomechanics and kinematics in a variety of scenarios, allowing safety system design to be more granular and anatomically focused. The design and development of these FE models was a collaborative effort amongst industry partners, universities, and research institutes stretching across the globe. GHBMC users gain access to hundreds of thousands of hours of research and development efforts that have gone into model enhancement and validation. Elemance licenses the complete family of GHBMC models, including both male and female models in a variety of postures and levels of complexity. In addition to licensing, Elemance provides comprehensive maintenance, enhancement and support of licensed models, as well as access to post-processing tools and resources, consulting services related to biomechanics, injury biomechanics, and other human modeling applications.
