Following extensive testing at racetracks and other facilities, the final touches are being added to the BMW 4 Series Coupe on the roads around Munich, Germany.
Tests have taken place at the winter testing center in Arjeplog, Sweden, at BMW’s test center in Miramas, France, on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and other racetracks.
Engineers are putting the finishing touches on the chassis technology using the freeways and country roads around the BMW Group Research and Innovation Centre in Munich.
The final round of testing will enable engineers to fast-track their latest findings into the fine-tuning process at the Research Innovation Centre.
BMW says the 4 Series’s proportions, aerodynamic properties and weight distribution make it the ideal basis for a chassis set-up focused on dynamic performance. The OEM’s focus is to ensure that the performance attributes of the BMW 4 Series crafted on racetracks can be experienced in normal driving conditions on public roads.
