Vector has introduced the VN8917, a real-time execution platform designed to optimize tests involving complex MATLAB simulations and CANoe configurations. The platform includes a high-performance base device and various interface plug-in modules.
The VN8917 base unit features an integrated 11th-generation Intel Xeon processor, making it suitable for multichannel configurations and extensive FlexRay and ethernet simulations. The network interface supports co-simulation applications and high-performance MATLAB simulations.
The platform has been specifically designed to handle high-performance CANoe configurations, accommodating applications that require high data throughput and access to multiple bus channels and I/Os. It connects to the PC via ethernet or USB 3.0, supporting ethernet data rates up to 2.5Gbit/s.
Additionally, Vector says the VN8917 execution platform enables standalone operation of CANoe simulations, allowing these simulations to be conducted autonomously in a test bench environment without the need for an operating PC.
