Embedded software and edge computing solutions provider eSOL is expanding its full stack engineering (FSE) strategy to better support its growing customer base. This expansion will see the establishment of new Centers of Competence in Europe.
The FSE strategy focuses on meeting the demand for software-defined everything (SDx) by integrating all system layers. This approach enables long-term system maintenance and continuous improvement through software updates. In SDVs, SDx enables ongoing feature upgrades and safety updates even after the vehicle is sold. eSOL states that achieving this efficiently and cost-effectively requires a comprehensive development strategy that covers everything from the operating system to applications.
As part of this investment, the company has appointed Laurent Emmerich as VP of customer solutions and engineering for eSOL Europe, and announced that it will also open new offices in Paris, France, and Munich, Germany.
“We are excited to roll out eSOL’s full stack engineering strategy globally,” said Emmerich. “As a partner for SDx development, eSOL will continue to offer OS, middleware and tools expertise alongside custom engineering services that enable customers to create software-defined systems with high efficiency and performance – while ensuring functional safety across all system layers.”
eSOL supports customers with their software development by providing both operating systems and engineering services. With a platform-centric approach, it builds full-stack solutions that power software-defined vehicles and other software-driven systems. It specializes in functional safety and high-performance computing with low power consumption.
