Sound and vibration specialist AcSoft is to host a free one-day seminar on NVH testing for electric, hybrid and traditionally powered vehicles. The event will take place on March 13, 2019 at the National Conference Centre in Solihull, UK.
The AcSoft Group event is being supported by GRAS Sound & Vibration, gfai tech, Microflown Technologies and Meggitt and Crystal Instruments. It will consist of five presentations on the following subjects: the next generation of specialist acoustic sensors for premium NVH sensors; designing damping treatment for a vehicle body based on particle velocity measurements; criteria for selecting the right accelerometer for NVH; acoustic cameras in powertrain benchmarking and development; and vibration testing on electric cars and components.
In a move to give delegates hands-on experience with world-leading NVH technologies, the seminar will also include four interactive workshops, covering sound source detection with beamforming and advanced algorithms, noise source identification, brake and engine noise, and repeatable measurements for TPA applications.
Key speakers at the event include Mehregan Bagherpour, principal powertrain NVH engineer at Changan, and consultant NVH engineer Jose Luis Lopez, who will give a presentation on vibration testing on electric cars and components.
Lars Winberg, automotive specialist at GRAS Sound & Vibration; Daniel Fernandez, CTO at Microflown Technologies; and Philippe de Cordemoy of Meggitt Sensing Systems have also been lined up to speak.
