Lyndon Lie has been appointed chief engineering officer at Volkswagen Group of America as the OEM continues to grow its leadership team in North America and expand its design and engineering capabilities.
Bringing leadership experience from previous positions with General Motors and the Nikola Corporation, where he was responsible for the development of new BEV and FCEV heavy-duty trucks, Lie will be tasked with overseeing the development of future Volkswagen vehicles for the North American market, in addition to research and development priorities across the same area.
Lie – who will be based in Chattanooga, Tennessee –brings extensive vehicle engineering experience, which will support Volkswagen in advancing its future mobility solutions.
