Test and measurement giant Spectris has acquired Piezocryst, a piezoelectric sensor supplier based in Austria. With complementary products and services, Piezocryst will be integrated into HBK’s business expanding its current product line-up.
HBK’s offering across the automotive, aerospace and defense, energy and industrial markets will be enhanced with the addition of sensors from Piezocryst. This announcement follows the acquisitions of Dytran and MicroStrain, aligning with HBK’s strategy to lead premium pressure and vibration sensing offerings for the most advanced applications. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year as it is subject to completion conditions and regulatory approvals.
