The development and distribution of DASYLab data acquisition software has been restructured to facilitate greater cooperation between MeasX, the creator and main distributor of DASYLab, and NI/Digilent, the owner of DASYLab and the NI development department.
measX believes the new framework will bring only benefits for DASYLab customers. “Of course, changes are always a challenge, especially for our customers who greatly appreciate our continuity and reliability – but in this case, the change only means good things,” said measX MD and former partner manager Dr Joachim Hilsmann. “Both partners complement each other perfectly and for DASYLab it can only mean that it will be strengthened and get the attention it has always deserved.”
The agreement covers collaboration on both the development and the sales front. For example, corporate customers, who usually require a higher level of service and customer-specific development, will continue to be supported by measX. NI/Digilent, on the other hand, will push sales to individual customers and also pursue new sales channels here. A development environment that will be adopted by both parties is already in the works.
Stephen E Johnson, GM of Digilent (an NI company), said, “We are pleased to have measX on board in shaping the future of DASYLab. measX’s experience is very important for our mutual customers and the further development of DASYLab.”
