Ahead of this year’s Testing Expo – Automotive – China 2017 show AB Dynamics has announced it is to supply the Korea Automobile Test and Research Institute (KATRI) with its new Flex-0 drive-by-wire controllers, driving robots, and a guided soft target. These new systems will be implemented at K-City, KATRI’s state-of-the-art new test facility for self-driving cars, which is currently under construction.
The company’s new driving robots and GST have the onboard technology for precise and synchronized motion of multiple vehicles and ADAS targets. AB Dynamics’s path-following software, trackFi Pro wireless telemetry and Synchro vehicle-to-vehicle synchronization control will become a key part of KATRI’s test center.
The equipment is designed to work seamlessly together, meaning that the same ADAS scenarios can be produced on track and in the simulator at K-City.
AB Dynamics commercial manager Jeremy Ash, said, “Our ADAS targets and by-wire controllers are built upon the two decades of development behind our robots; they use the same software and are natively compatible.”
“This kind of testing with multiple vehicles can be very complex and only AB Dynamics can guarantee total in-built compatibility across driving robots, by-wire control and ADAS targets.”
The supplier will be at booth 6022 at Testing Expo – Automotive – China, September 19-21. Grab your tickets now.
