An agreement has been signed that will see Dynisma supply its simulator technology to Rodin Motorsport’s F2 team.
Rodin Motorsport will use the DMG-1 simulator as an engineering tool for vehicle set-up, performance optimization and driver preparation for all racetracks. The simulator will also play an important role in race car development ahead of the 2025 season.
Rodin Motorsport owner David Dicker said, “I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve put in so far, and this is the next step; I can’t wait for our drivers to begin using this, and our engineers to utilise this amazing piece of technology fully.”
Dynisma Motion Generators (DMG) set new standards with its extremely low latency and high bandwidth, the company states. Based in Surrey in the UK, Rodin Motorsport currently competes in six championships including FIA Formula 2, FIA Formula 3, GB3 Championship, F1 Academy, F4 British Championship and Spanish F4. The team has won numerous titles and more than 400 races across various categories over the past 25 years.
F2 team manager Benn Huntingford said, “Having a simulator on site of the standard of DMG-1 is going to be a game changer internally for how we approach our seasons. Not only will we be able to continue our push with our driver preparation, but it allows us the opportunity to really look at our car set-up and evaluate things in a landscape where testing just isn’t possible.”
