Electrical connection and protection specialist nVent Electric has unveiled the nVent Schroff RatiopacPro Style portfolio of modular, 19in desktop cases for the test and measurement industry.
The platform offers thousands of standard configuration options to meet design and protection requirements for test equipment. In addition to providing robust protection for electronic components, the new desktop cases can also be customized.
Developed with input from industrial designers, the RatiopacPro Style cases range from a height of 2 U to 6 U, width of 28 HP to 84 HP and depth of 255.5mm to 495.5mm. Users can select one of 220 standard RatiopacPro Style cases or they can create their own design using the RatiopacPro Style configurator, choosing from a wide range of frame, inlay, panel, color and printed surface options. They can also add functionality such as removable rubber strips for shock and surface protection. In addition, RatiopacPro Style cases can be equipped with longer handles to facilitate transportation or with short profiles for laboratory use.
“Test and measurement companies increasingly require a unique look for their desktop enclosures, yet traditional customization routes are often time-consuming, inflexible and require the purchase of additional tools,” said Jasmin Goelzenleuchter, global marketing manager at nVent.
“Our RatiopacPro Style configurator streamlines the design process, saving users approximately 65% of the time they would have spent evaluating and developing entirely new mechanical housing concepts. This offers customers the precise aesthetics and functionality they want.”
Regardless of how a RatiopacPro Style case is configured, its protruding front and rear frame safeguarding connectors prioritize the protection of electronic components. RatiopacPRO Style cases fit Euroboards in line with IEC 60297, as well as individual electrical or mechanical components attached to a mounting plate. The cases can be paired with numerous other nVent solutions.
