Burke Porter Group has existed for 70 years providing solutions for the design, development and automation of diagnostics, inspection and test processes across a number of sectors, including transportation. Now the company has decided it’s time for a change, although only in name, as it announces it is to rebrand as Ascential Technologies.
The main reason, the company says, is because it is sharpening its focus on technology and data-driven solutions while also venturing into new markets.
“Our new brand, Ascential Technologies, reflects the essential role we play in helping customers across the entire product lifecycle in situations where quality and safety matter most,” said Jeffrey Moss, CEO of Ascential Technologies.
“Today’s hyper-competitive markets require trusted partners. We help our customers do the impossible and are unique in our ability to deliver rapid and disciplined product and solution development from ideation to commercialization at scale.”
The company will continue to provide a suite of solutions, including equipment, services and data management capabilities to meet the most demanding, mission-critical challenges. Part of the new strategy includes consolidating its portfolio of brands while also creating multiple divisions.
One is the transportation division, which actually isn’t charging its name at all and will continue as Burke Porter. It will continue to provide solutions for end-of-line testing but is expanding into product design, development, laboratory services, EV propulsion and aftermarket products and services.
The industrial division will fall under Ascential but retain individual brand names including Cimat, Titan, Galileo, Lismar and Kleinknecht. These will provide testing products and solutions to enhance safety and efficiency for companies in HVAC, white goods, heavy industry and energy sectors.
