Stringo is at Automotive Testing Expo Europe to showcase its new four-wheel mover that addresses the needs of the EV paradigm – namely the requirement for a vehicle-moving solution that lifts all four wheels, as electric vehicles typically lock all their wheels when switched off.
A four-wheel mover is the only way to deploy these vehicles on the dynos safely and effectively. Furthermore, with new ADAS target testing, using a Stringo 4WM test engineers can set those targets up in a few minutes, saving valuable testing time. The company is in active discussions to be part of a four-wheel mover solution to protect test engineers and the whole dyno testing environment in the event of thermal runaway, a growing concern as these explosions can be catastrophic. Using the Stringo 4WM, engineers would be able to quickly move the unsafe car out of the chamber and into a safe environment.
In addition to assisting with the analysis of electrified vehicles, Stringo has also made a commitment to be sustainable across the whole business. Sam Coleman, chief marketing officer, commented, “Stringo’s machines are electric, but the company will have to be carbon neutral across the whole production loop and even into recycling and upcycling.
“Many EV players are already using Stringos in new, novel ways as they disrupt traditional vehicle production processes,” Coleman added.
