Kistler is expanding its portfolio of uncooled piezo-electric cylinder pressure sensors for combustion engines, with the addition of the Type 6045B sensor with M8 media connection. It provides extremely high temperature stability and low linearity deviation in a compact package.
Type 6045B can be mounted directly into the cylinder head or using a mounting sleeve. Signals are acquired through the KiBox combustion analysis system for mobile vehicle applications or Kistler’s modular signal conditioning platform for test bench applications. Thanks to a wide range of interfaces, measurement results are easily transmitted to other devices.
Kistler has greatly minimized the sensitivity change of the sensor across the temperature range compared to its predecessor. In using a particularly pressure-resistant crystal, Type 6045B can also be used for higher-pressure peaks (pre-ignition). The sensor is fully compatible with its predecessor model Type 6045A as well as the 6041A and 6041B water-cooled sensors.
