The Product Assessment and Reliability Centre (PARC) – a provider of environmental testing services and equipment – recently relocated to a bespoke premises in Bideford, Devon, UK, at the end of 2014. The new facility has more than doubled the former available floor area and enabled larger samples to be tested and enhanced equipment to be installed, offering greater test capability and flexibility. According to Richard Tabor, sales manager at PARC, the facility is now running smoothly.
“Hard work and dedication from the entire team at PARC has resulted in a structured move of the facilities,” Tabor said. “This has been challenging at times due to some of the equipment weighing in excess of four tonnes, but it has successfully been achieved with minimal disruption to the responsive service we offer.”
Over £200,000 was invested in climatic services alone including a state-of-the-art thermal cycling chamber that is capable of 10°C per minute ramp rates between -70°C and +180°C. The new site also benefits from a bespoke walk-in facility of 8m3 that offers a temperature range of -65°C up to +150°C in addition to combined temperature and humidity conditions.
