Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about Hydropol-Light and Hydropol-Superlight, Framag’s new and innovative materials for mechanical engineering. Featuring the proven vibration-damping properties of Hydropol, these new variants have been developed specifically for the requirements of dynamic components. Due to the low weight of these materials, vibrations can be damped where they arise at the machine – typically at the point of contact between the tool and the workpiece – the tool center point.
Hydropol-Light and Hydropol-Superlight are ideal for use in moving units such as carriages, slides, milling heads, crossbeams and gantries. The materials also offer high dynamic stiffness, economical fabrication even for a batch size of one, and there is no limitation in terms of component size. Users will benefit from a longer tool service life, higher energy efficiency, better surface quality of the workpiece, high thermal stability and higher machine dynamics.
Framag are exhibiting at booth 1221 at Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2015.
