Hitachi Automotive Systems and Honda Motor have established a joint venture for the development, manufacture and sales of motors for electric vehicles. The new company will be based at the Hitachi Automotive Systems facility in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.
Ibaraki Prefecture is to provide a financial grant in recognition of the project which ‘promotes the establishment of corporate head office functions’ within the prefecture.
