The last test phase of the new BMW M2 is now underway ahead of its global debut in October. In keeping with the M2’s affinity with the racetrack, its driving dynamics were subjected to intensive evaluation at the Salzburgring in Austria. These tests focused on various dynamics performance aspects and the chassis.
With an adaptive M chassis and rear-wheel drive, the performance car is powered by tried-and-tested engines from the M3 and M4 models. The brake system also comes from the M3 and M4. There are two transmission options: a manual 6-speed gearbox and an 8-speed M Steptronic gearbox.
Market launch of the M2 will be in April 2023.
