dSpace, a provider of simulation and validation solutions for the development of autonomous vehicles, and Foretellix, a platform provider for product development, verification and validation of automated driving systems (ADAS and AV), say they are deepening their cooperation on safety testing of automated driving systems (ADS).
The joint solution they are developing integrates Foretellix’s Foretify platform for product development, verification and validation with the dSpace Automotive Simulation Models (ASM) for HIL and SIL applications, which they state will allow OEMs and Tier 1s to ensure safety and reduce development costs and time to market of new ADS.
This will be achieved by identifying bugs, edge cases and unknowns early in the development cycle. To this end, the Foretify platform uses a quantifiable approach to safety and hyper-automation to create, orchestrate and analyze the massive number of tests that these systems may encounter on the road. Meanwhile, the dSpace Automotive Simulation Models (ASM) and AURELION (advanced physics-based sensor models and photorealistic visualization) enable users to simulate and test all functions for ADS, and to reproduce and reuse these tests at all stages of the development process.
