Hyundai Mobis, an established South Korean provider of ADAS and autonomous software, has selected Cognata as its simulation and perception partner for testing and validation of its products.
Cognata will bring its platform of simulation software and training data for ADAS and autonomous vehicles to Hyundai Mobis, making for a large-scale simulation program. The scale of this platform provides the only environment where ADAS and autonomous vehicle technology can be safely tested and thoroughly validated, for real-life scenarios and challenging edge cases.
Mobis delivers ADAS and AV systems as part of its ongoing mission to make automated driving safer and more convenient. Timely training, testing, and safe deployment of these systems demands a simulation solution capable of a high level of realism and capacity for enormous scale.
“We are seeing incredible momentum and growth in ADAS and autonomous driving in South Korea,” said Danny Atsmon, CEO of Cognata. “We are proud and excited to be part of the development of this market by partnering with one of South Korea’s leading Tier 1s. We look forward to closely collaborating with Mobis to further promote its stellar growth”.
“Selecting Cognata as our partner further strengthens our position in delivering practical intelligent driving products to market,” said Lee Chang-ik, who manages autonomous vehicle simulation at Mobis.
“We see Cognata as a ‘secret weapon’ for reducing cycle times and extending the safe functionality of our systems. Mobis has undergone stellar growth in recent years and implementing the Cognata solution will greatly accelerate time-to-market for our ADAS and AV offerings.”
This relationship with Hyundai Mobis continues Cognata’s expansion across Asia. With solutions partnerships in place throughout the region, Cognata delivers its technology to Korean automakers and suppliers in close co-operation with its long-established and trusted local automotive industry partner, K-Innotech.
