Selection and specification of machine type and control system according to project-specific considerations
Design, development, optimization and integration of electrical machines suitable for automotive applications (through to production)
Selection, requests for quotation and coordination with suppliers
Planning, provision and testing of prototypes for test bed and vehicle application
Assistance with machine design
Assistance with design, development and optimization of control strategy for power electronics - assistance with integration of the machine in the complete vehicle safety concept
Assistance with the development of specific simulation models
Hands-on testing on test beds and in vehicles
Requirements:
University / polytechnic electrical engineering degree or equivalent
Substantial knowledge of electrical machines and drives
Experience in the area of alternative drives and motor technology, preferably in automotive field
Substantial knowledge of control systems for induction machines
Basic knowledge of electrical energy storage systems (battery systems)
Basic knowledge of power electronics
Interest in, knowledge of and enthusiasm for hybrid drives, internal combustion engines and control thereof
