Rohde & Schwarz launches latest 5GHz bandwidth signal analyzer

German OEM Rohde & Schwarz has unveiled its high-end signal and spectrum analyzer at the Electronic Design Innovation Conference and Exhibition (EDI CON), in Boston, Massachusetts, this week.

The FSW85, the newest addition to the signal and spectrum analyzer line-up, can analyze wideband signals such as automotive radar FMCW chirp signals, IEEE 802.11ay signals and 5G waveform candidates.

The company is addressing the fast-growing demands for characterizing wideband components and systems by introducing the new FSW-B5000 option. This, in combination with the RTO2064 digital oscilloscope as an external digitizer, provides equalized 5GHz signal bandwidth analysis.

The amplitude and phase response of the FSW85 together with the FSW-B5000 are fully characterized at the factory across the entire frequency range, this means that with the addition of the FSW-B90G option, frequencies between 9.5Ghz and 90GHz can be measured.

The transient and pulse measurement applications for the FSW allow in-depth, wideband analysis of FMCW chirp signals and hopped and pulsed radar signals required for automotive radar applications.

R&S’s latest innovation in signal analysis will have its first public demonstration this week.
